some of you, my friends and family, have not yet heard about this,, and this is important to YOU in your everyday life... it concerns obamacare, this is some things you need to know, and unfortunately, the average common news networks ARE NOT letting you in on this... 1st off, you need to know that a MAJOR designer of obamacare has been caught bragging about how it was necessary to fool you / us voters. HIS NAME IS GRUBER. here it goes... GRUBER: They said, Look, what you economic nerds want to do is you want to say that, for people with expensive health insurance plans, they will no longer get a 40% tax break. What if we instead just levied a 40% tax on the insurance companies that sell these terribly expensive Cadillac plans? We said, Well, thats pretty much the same thing. They proposed it and that passed and that passed, cause American voters are too stupid to understand the difference. AUDIENCE: (guffawing laughter) GRUBER: Okay? AUDIENCE: (laughing) GRUBER: (chuckling) So basically we now have the Cadillac tax! RUSH: American voters are too stupid to understand difference. So basically we now have the Cadillac tax! If somebody wants to buy a Cadillac plan, its their business. If an insurance company can make money selling them, its their business. Its none of Grubers business. But here he comes, as the architect of Obamacare, demanding there be a 40% tax on it. Why? Cause it isnt fair that somebody can afford a Cadillac insurance policy. It isnt fair. If one person can but nobody else can, then nobody should have it! So what were gonna do, were gonna tax these really good plans out of existence so that everybodys sitting there in equalized misery. We have to do this because the American voters are too stupid to understand the difference of eliminating a 40% tax break or levying a 40% tax on the insurance companies. So were just gonna do it cause the American people are too stupid to understand what were doing here. Here is the original Gruber video, just so you can hear it again. This is October 17, 2013, at the University of Pennsylvania. GRUBER: This bill was written in a tortured way to make sure CBO did not score the mandate as taxes. If CBO scored the mandate as taxes, the bill dies, okay? So its written to do that. In terms of risk-rated subsidies, if you had a law which said healthy people are gonna pay in... If you made it explicit the healthy people pay in and sick people get money, it would not have passed, okay? Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage. And basically, you know, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever. But basically that was really, really critical to getting the thing to pass.
