spent all day working on the radiators at my house.... I been doing a lot of research on these One Pipe Steam heating systems and learned a lot about them and making them more efficient .... and heres more major tip for you guys that have these at home......I learned if the pitch (angle) on the radiator wrong / off due house settlement it will cause a banging sound in and makes your heating system less efficient ....pitching the radiator the right way will improve your system removing the condensated water out quicker....you want to raise the side with the air valve ....all you need is a jack ans some washers to put under the feet..using a lever you will want off center the bubble if your radiator visible but if your rad is cover by a box you can increase the angle ..just be careful to not over do it on the main pipe...and also make sure all your air valves are working properly.....out the 9 radiator 2 where off the other 7 i just increased the angle....
