spent the morning standing in behalf of all akbayanihan typhoon yolanda volunteers in akbayanihans press conference on our commemoration of our relief and recovery efforts in yolanda affected areas. in behalf of akbayanihan foundation, a big thank you to all those who volunteered with us then. despite having to eat canned goods and other instant food for days, being around people you barely know, being under the sun the whole day, and at the end of the day sleeping in undesirable conditions, thank you for being the backbone of our relief efforts. i am certain you all, in one way or another, were ambassadors of hope. In the words of Andrew Tuason, the nurse who helped deliver a baby during those times of.struggle, we gave life and hope in the midst of death and destruction. on a personal note, looking back, it was a privilege to have an opportunity to help out with akbayanihans yolanda relief efforts last year as head volunteer. aside from being given an.opportunity to help in a larger scale, i was able to learn a lot of things in the process and at the same time impart what i knew to fellow volunteers. it made me a better person. thanks.to akbayanihan and akbayan party list. :-)
