Thus far, the Baggies’ returns in the campaign have been modest. But they have the resources to stretch the Blues’ defense; and look a good bet to pinch a point. Chelsea 1 v West Brom 1…..(Exp 3-0) ManCity will test the mettle of Swansea at the Etihad. The Swans’ comeback-win against Arsenal showed their enormous potential. However, their ‘openness’ will probably be exploited by the Aguerro-driven sleek Peugeot. ManCity 2 v Swansea 1…(Exp 3-1) Arsenal engages ManU at the Emirates. The two traditional giants are struggling (by their own standards). However, each is blessed with enough attacking/mid quality to sizzle on any given day. This could go either way; but giving the edge to the Gunners. Arsenal 2 v ManU 1….(Exp 2-1) Palace hosts Liverpool. The Eagles are guaranteed to surge forward with menace; and they will likely score. Hence the Reds will probably need to score more than once. This is unlikely if Rodgers persists with misfits Balotelli and Borini. Palace 2 v Liverpool 1….(Exp 2-3) Hull is at home to Tottenham. The reality this season is that Tottenham has a split personality: a creative, fast-paced persona; and an error-prone, unimaginative flip-side.
