star wars factoid: darth sidous foresaw the incoming invasion of the yuuzhan vong which is why he created the clone army and purged the jedi as they would be ineffective against the yuuzhan vong due to the fact that the only force powers that effected them were darkside powers. so in fact the emperor would have saved trillions of lives with an unlimited supply of clone troopers and several death stars at his disposal if not for the interference of luke skywalker and the rebel alliance. keep in mind before the clone wars the republic did not have a standing army with only the jedi to protect them against a race would have easily wiped them out anyway. shywalkers new order of jedi were able to beat the yuusan vong, but at the cost of hundreds of trillions of lives. long story short, the emperor protects. think about that the next time you watch the rebs kill storm troopers, or the next time you watch luke blow up the death star. from my point of view the jedi are evil -lord vader
