#tbt this is not one of my better videos, but I have to say I havent had a harder time making a next-day edit as I did with this one. This was the first #nhha race after we lost Kurt Caselli. I am not going to lie, I was in tears under my helmet most of the weekend. Especially out on the loops waiting for the racers. Kurt was almost always the first person I would see, on every loop. He would always acknowledge me, even at his crazy speed. After 3 consecutive years of filming him dominate the hare and hound series, we had a strong connection that was very unique in my years of filming experience. He was hands down the best interviewee on the planet, it seemed like he had a teleprompter in his head! His delivery was flawless and perfected just like his riding. He always made time for people, while still pushing towards his goals relentlessly. He made everyone he interacted with feel important, he just had that way about him.
