the Boholanos shouldnt be defined by some of their local politicians who may have taken advantage of the calamity and used it for political capital... i say may because there are always two (maybe three) sides to a story... the opportunistic ones may not be taken to task in this world but they will have to answer to someone, somehow... what is important is that relief goods got into the hands of those who truly need help the most... a recurring observation by volunteers that truly inspires is that Boholanos dont trample each other in a mad scramble for goods... they fall in line when told to do so and even ask at the outset if there is a list... the Boholanos as a people are hard-working and resilient... our role is just to help sustain the bridge that gets them to a point where the government and large scale non-governmental organizations can then intitute medium and long-term rehabilitation plans... personally, i am OVERWHELMED by the response that i got from family and friends primarily through a call for donations that originated here in Facebook... i am an ordinary private citizen and so are my donors... but, TOGETHER, we managed to to send and will still send the kind of help that makes a difference... I CAN NEVER THANK YOU ENOUGH :)... but, as I have stated time and again, the God of your understanding knows how much you care... and, in the end, thats all that really matters... #WeLoveBohol
