the authors are confusing causation and correlation. Schmidt points out a series of characteristics of Google as a company and presents them as the reasons for Google’s success, but in my opinion, they are all consequences of Google’s success. Most of the time nobody know what is the truth, we only know the interpreted truth. Most of the time people mistook consequences of success as the reasons behind the success. But as Director Lee Ang puts it, it doesnt matter what the movie director wants to tell you, a movie is just a stimulus, what matters is that it stimulated you to think and feel, to rediscover yourself or learn something new. The same goes for every story or every interpreted truth.
