Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knew should bow, of things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. - Philippians 2:5-11. It is mind boggling that the same crowd, who according to Apostle Matthew writes, Most of the crowd spread their coasts in the road, and others were cutting branches form the trees and spreading them in the road. The crowds going ahead of Him, and those who followed, were shouting, Hosanna to the Son of David; BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD; Hosanna in the highest - Matthew 21:8-9. Would turn into a mob by the end of the week. Their praise now turned into hatred; crying Crucify Him! Crucify Him! What happened? Why such a change? As Jesus prophesied, today you will be ashamed of me! The vast majority figured Jesus was their answer All, but without pure motives. They thought Jesus had come as a insurrection; to overthrow the Roman rule. Yet, Jesus did NOT come riding a white stallion, which portrayed a fighting general, but rather Him came riding in on a donkey. No doubt. They were embarrassed. They felt betrayed and their cause ruined. But Jesus publicly stated, My kingdom is not of this world! Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and endowed with salvation, Humble, and mounted on a donkey, even a colt, the foal of a donkey. -Zechariah 9:9. There is victory in the Name of Jesus Christ! There is no victory, nor hope in any other Name!
