the little creek to the main Snye had some slush on it yesterday but it didnt stop the beaver from getting out and about in the early morning hours. You can see the track of his travel in the second photo. In the intermittent snow showers yesterday Sailor and I slipped and slid our way along the snow topped trails, will be happy when it freezes solid - more secure footing. My goal was to walk the 1 km to the picnic table and we did it. Rain dripped down off the trees - some of the branches were so heavily laden with raindrops, like tears. I felt there were the tears of our community who are very saddened by the recent death of a young woman in our midst. Comparing my age to hers, I thought she should have had many more years, how can such a thing happen? The walk through the calm and quiet of the trees gave me time to reflect and be thankful for her, even though her life was short, she gave us her laughter, smiles and hugs while she was here. Do I do that enough? I came home in a much better frame of mind. I am not ready to thank you Creator for the loss, but I will thank you for her life. Mahsi for our land.
