the recent revelation by former external affairs minister NATWAR SINGH is nothing new. those who are in politics and those who are aware of the congress hierarchy knows this very well. The Gandhi family has a history of assassination so RAHUL GANDHI would be apprehensive regarding his mother taking up countrys highest job is natural. those of us who know this party is fully aware that sections of the party itself was quite apprehensive about making SONIA GANDHI even the party president (they were in doubt of her credibility and also of her foreign blood). i believe this section still exists in the party but they keep quiet because of their allegiance to the party. This same section will not allow any other powerful leader to flourish and that was precisely the reason why MANMOHAN SINGH was chosen over PRANAB MUKHERJEE. the party have misread and misused both of them. what could have easily been their asset has become a liability for both the party and the nation. according to me the two biggest blunder committed in the recent history of the INDIAN NATIONAL CONGRESS were disowning the NARASIMHA RAO govt. and making MANMOHAN SINGH, the PM and PRANAB MUKHERJEE, the president. the roles should have been reversed. Sadly after a decade neither the party nor its members have learnt anything. they are making the same mistakes.
