the three Abrahamic religions share quite a bit of common history.... Jews, Christians, and Muslims of today are very much like distant cousins of the same family. Like any family, there are the black sheep and the skeletons in the closets. There are those who want to pick and choose which parts of family history that they want to believe and hold onto, and parts they choose to ignore or hide away from sight. Throughout history, some Christians have done horrendous things in the name of God, that does not make all Christians horrendous. Likewise, we are now seeing some Muslims do horrendous things in the name of Allah, that does not make all Muslims horrendous people either. As people of faith, which ever one you claim to be part of, we need to pray for peace and understanding. There is much we can learn from each other, if we just take the time.
