the wind at my back. for those of you who have asked how you can help, please know that you have. not only have you lightened the burden, you have stiffened my spine. the parts of this issue that come down to aesthetics, and being less of a target got a vociferous rebuttal yesterday, and will continue to. it helps that this is rogers park, which prides itself on embracing the weird and the different. but i remain an artist at heart, and i made it quite clear that i would be making a 1st amendment defense on issues like broken chairs, blue barrels, the shagginess of things. it is called style, yall. i got mine. some of my detractors have a style that i abhor. manicured lawns and all that. i might wish to be able to complain about that. but i dont. i cant. it felt very good to say- there are too many people behind me now. i will not be backing down. i will not be letting them down. thanks so much to all.
