@ the young lady in Sherard Mckinneys post who couldnt see the relationship. This is for anyone whos not sure how different things that take place in the media (i.e. focus shifting is connected to Willie Lynches Theory. For all who have heard, read, or otherwise been informed about THE WIllie Lynch Letter heres the deal. Because, the media is a medium for information that is neither controlled, maintained, or otherwise structured by Black people, or any other social/economic minorities, it is used to steer allegiances and alliances for those that do have control. Thereby, influences on the issues we support, rally against, fund, and/or feel any kind of way about are manipulated. This manipulation can be used to put people at odds with other people based on differences created by people who only have , at the heart of the situation, only a vested interest in controlling all the parties involved. This was the same premise that was introduced by Willie Lynch in his famous letter. Put old against young, dark against light, etc. It is the same principle. The only reason economic stature wasnt included is because at that time economic differences were not highlighted as profoundly they are now. So, when the murder of black children is knocked out of the media focus in order to stimulate campaigns of outrage for domestic violence and spankings there has to be questions as to the motives behind it. I mean Mel Gibson won awards for Passion of the Christ, yet he was verbally & physically assaultive as well as bigoted, Nicholas Cage, and a slew of other persons, but because they are not of the same race as the socially and economically disenfranchised of this country the effect is neutral at best. But when I get someone that can be related to on a level beyond their profession I now have a tool to accomplish successful spreading of intraracial dissent. This dissent is the same disease that has plagued us since being kidnapped. So there are real parallels between the highlighting of one issue during the protest of a much more serious issue, that have as a reference point The Willie Lynch Letter.
