then theres the days you work 10 1/2 hours and in that time you: get cursed at, have a baby get so upset that their normal caregiver left for break and youre there that they (the baby) throw-up their carrot puree, have kids scream during nap, chase 4 other kids through the center (and grab them as theyre about to run out the front door), have to firmly tell those childrens parents that their children are putting all of the children (including themselves) in danger and the center at risk of breaking the law everytime I have to leave to chase them, and neither thing is okay nor will this be tolerated anymore and just when you think you cant take anymore a sweet 7 year old (and older of one of the hoodlums) hugs you and says goodbye miss. Erin, I love you and am sorry you had a bad day. And after they leave (they were last to do so) you cry from the stress and the love that little boy showed...in other words another day at daycare...5 1/2 hour day tomorrow starting at 12:30...bubble bath time now.
