there are certain things God made us to be in this world, and doubt filled, worrisome, scared, and full of anxiety, are not those things. do you know what God made us to be? God made us to be courageous. God made us to be bold, and strong, and confident. He made us to be spiritual warriors, who are able to stand before any evils of this world and, through Him, not back down. we were meant to stare in the face of darkness, and make darkness blink. we were meant to be His strong people. a mighty people who knew, that through the Lord, we could face whatever this world threw at us, and survive it. so why do we allow ourselves to be just the opposite? why do we allow the world to drag us down, to take us down a few pegs? why do we allow the world to eat at us? we let it stress us out with worries of the future, with fears over things that may ,or may not, hurt us. we let the world get us stressed with bad relationships, hurt feelings. we let the world scare us with war, disease, a bad economy. and why? I mean. Im not saying that these arent real problems, and yes, one way or another we are going to deal with them from time to time, but we shouldnt be letting them have that much power in our lives. we are capable, through the Lord, and the strength and courage He gives us, of standing up against these things. I think the problem is that, we dont realize what gifts God has given us. we dont realize all that we are capable of when we trust in Him, and live through Him. we dont realize that, through Him, we are strong and stern stuff. we dont realize that, through God, we are tough as nails. we dont realize that, through God, the world may bruise us, it may scratch us, but it cannot beat us. so, let us remember that from here on. let us always keep it at the forefront of our minds of just what we are truelly capable of. so that we can confidently stand in front of the worlds darkest moments, and, through the Lord, we will win the fight. in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, amen. fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.-Isaiah 41:10(ESV) 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.-Philippians 4:6-7(ESV) 1 O God, have mercy on me, for people are hounding me. My foes attack me all day long. 2 I am constantly hounded by those who slander me, and many are boldly attacking me. 3 But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. 4 I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me?-Psalm 56:1-4(NLT) 25 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? 28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. 34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.-Matthew 6:25-34(ESV) 1 The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. 2 He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. 3 He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. 4 Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. 5 You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. 6 Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.-Psalm 23(NLT) Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”-Joshua 1:9(ESV) for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.-2 Timothy 1:7(ESV) Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”-Deuteronomy 31:6(ESV) Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.-1 Corinthians 16:13(NLT) Then David continued, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. He will see to it that all the work related to the Temple of the Lord is finished correctly.-1 Chronicles 28:20(NLT) 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,-Ephesians 6:10-18(ESV)
