there seems to be this weird thing where people dont think that fire troupes can be friends... its like, they both play with fire, they must hate each other! we all have such different shows that its actually a lot of fun to work together, if there are two theaters in the same town, and they are both doing a show, are the actors enemies? no! we support each other, and if another troupe came up to me and was like, OMG, your not doing a show tonight and 1 of our safeties is sick, can you fill in... id gladly do it, for Pyrate Technics, Fire Kraken, IGNITION Fire Troupe, etc. as long as they are a SAFE professional troupe (i will not compromise my safety to do someone a favor) as members of various troupes, we have shared drink together, gone to social things with each other, we perform together, we refer each other to gigs if the situation calls for it. we are brothers in arms, or should i say, siblings in flames. when one of us suffers, we all feel it a little bit. i love my fellow fire peeps, and truthfully, the only way to get better is to be pushed by some good competition.
