this evening a friend and professional Wildlife photographer got stopped by a PC Williams on Tywyn promenade for taking photographs of starlings. his status with regards to this reads as follows. Taking photographs of starlings on Tywyn prom tonight I had the police turn up. Wanted to know what I was doing, took both my addresses, ran a search on the car I was driving ( my other halfs, all insured in my name as well ) Cheers North Wales Police on being so thorougher and looking at ever opportunity to find me at fault for something. As Im whiter than white, all insured up, not doing anything illegal they of course could not find any fault or issue. The thing is now I still feel like my personal space, identity and personal details that I handed over have all been violated. I know they have a job to do and must have to deal with some right shi$£s but still, IM a PHOTOGRAPHER not a TERRORIST or BURGLAR. Here are one of the shots I got of my urban wildlife series Im creating. Im in a public place, on the street, not hiding in a bush, in plain sight of everyone, not wearing camo gear. I did get the advice from PC Williams that I should/could wear a jacket with my name on and stating Im a wildlife photographer, cheers for that. is this not going a little to far, @northwalespolice you should be ashamed of yourselves
