this is becoming a widely asked question now that most car stereos have a device fitted which recognizes when the car key has been inserted in the ignition,and without which you CANT switch your stereo amplifier on. why does this matter? well,for instance, the car stereo you prefer, might be older than your chosen amp, and that amp, like mine, might be designed to be used with these remote switch on stereo devices. but you cant do that! OR SO YOU HAVE BEEN LEAD TO BELIVE,tilll now. further more,this method is SAFE https://youtube/watch?v=TOxQbR64N8A follow the video instructions to the T. the only difference between this method,and using it as an outdoor sound system,is that you wont be using the battery charger. instead just use a few back-up batteries. why is it important to know how to do this? firstly it respects the users choice in what devices they wish to amply the signal from. you may prefer using oldr analogue devices,like (god forbid) 8-track tape-machines!,or any older car stereo that dosnt have remote switch fitted. OR you may want to hold and outdoor party,and the fact that you get car stereo amps that are as loud as PA systems, and the fact they run on 12 volts? well that means you DONT need a generator, and you can also in conjunction with thisd run a 2nd battery with an inverter attatched to it,which can run you audio source (laptop,record decks,etc). and of course,in these times of very challenged earth resources,we NEED to know how to NOT depend apon the national grid, so we can use this idea in fitting with sustainable energies(wind,solar, etc)
