this is found in the book of Matthew 1(AMP) 18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place under these circumstances: When His mother Mary had been promised in marriage to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be pregnant [through the power] of the Holy Spirit. 19 And her [promised] husband Joseph, being a just and upright man and not willing to expose her publicly and to shame and disgrace her, decided to repudiate and dismiss (divorce) her quietly and secretly so let me highlight one issue here , before JESUS was conceived HIS father and MOTHER where not yet married .. but they where promised to marriage in todays language you could say ne ba JOLA or DATING or COURTSHIP ... HOWEVER all this happened because they agreed to be married , so my brother out there , you can go date only with an intention of getting married to that person or lady . to get into a relationship to test if thats the right person because all that will end up in pain , sin will take over . dating is not wrong but your intention counts more ... and during the period of dating before marriage the are lot of temptations ... so you better be strong or dont date at all .
