this is kinda funny. The old boy that leases our property for grazing has an interesting helper. This pup just showed up one day and started running with the herd. She thinks she is one of them. Stays with the cows all day every day. She never had any food given to her and we dont know how she ever made it. There are no neighbors or other dogs anywhere around. I give her odds and ends any time I can get close enough. She now lets me get within about 30 but wont let anyone else close, except for the rancher that owns the cows, but he cant get closer than that.I brought my pup out once and whenever he would get close to this pup, the cows would chase him off. what a laugh, it was hilarious.I think she must have been abused earlier in her life as she is real spooky around people, but I think she may eventually come around. source: arrowheadology/forums/general-discussion-off-topic-craziness/46188-dog-thinks-she-part-herd.html
