this past year has brought joy and sorrow to our family. This time last year I was feeding my dad the last supper he would ever eat. He had wanted soup beans, and fried potatoes for a week . That evening while sitting with him in the VA nursing home in Johnson City his wish came true. They brought him soup beans, fried potatoes, corn bread , banana pudding and milk. I said , Daddy someone heard you wanting the beans and you got your wish. Elisheba, Brandon and the kids came over and got to spend time with him. Brayden showed him his spiderman. That evening he looked at me and said , Are you alone? and I said yes daddy why? He replied cause I dont want you alone. Just before he took his last breath my sister and Jeff came in. My sister came over and told me not to panic but she didnt thing he was breathing. I told her to get the nurse and told daddy to go on, it would be hard to lose him, but he had made peace with God and with all of us. He went to sleep, peacefully. The hard part was calling Tay and telling him he was gone. Little did I know that in 4 months I would lose him. But the last few months have been challenging and exciting. I miss my men, my daddy, my wonderful husband, and my handsome son. I miss my mommy and feel like sometimes I cant go on. This year will bring surprises and many new things. I just hope that everyone has a wonderful New Year and mainly to let God guide you in everything . May God richly bless everyone.
