this sweet approx..3 year old 14 lb girl. never nearly made it out of the shelter, i saw her there when i was picking up some dogs and the shelter manager asked if i could take her as no one else wanted her and her time was up the next day, i had a car load of dogs and said sorry i just cannot take any more, she looked so sad and was begging for someone to take her, and of course all night long i could not sleep as all i thought of was this poor dog who was going to be killed at 4pm the next day..so i went back to the shelter and took her along with several other dogs.i can never leave with just one !! well she had distemper and i thought we were going to lose her, she was so sick she could not stand up, just kept falling down. but i was determined she was going to make it. after nearly losing her life at hcphes i was not about to let her die and we got our miracle... she started to turn the corner and finally she was able to run and play with the other dogs, when you see her now you would not know she was ever sick, except when she is sleeping or sitting down you will see her head bob or one of her back legs twitch, the typical neurological symptoms that we see a lot of the distemper dogs left with, but like hoda and barney they seem to be abating a little every day and she is having a wonderful, happy life and loves to run and wrestle with her buddies.. her name is prudence and we think she looks like a mini labradoodle, more so than a pure poodle mix. she really would like a new home , she will be a really loving companion and needs no more care than the normal dog.. please find prudence her own home
