this weekend was amazing, it was normal! taylor and i lived on the soccer fields; matt and levi went camping in the mountains. matts hair is starting to come back, he has a bit more energy, he even slightly detected the smell of coppertone sunscreen!! i cant even tell you how much i love and appreciate the little things. then this morning, i came back to reality with the realization that we see the surgeon again this week, were told he may be able to see things before scans do when he scopes the nose; and we have another scan next week. its the first true scan since surgery. now that we are at the 6 month mark and healing should have taken place, this should tell us if they got all of the cancer. so nope, were still not done. so i love what we read in 2 sam 12:20. it says after his son died, david went into the house of the Lord and worshiped. what an example of what to do when our hearts are heavy, broken or in despair. and also from the one year bible today we read in john 16:33, these things i have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. in the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. it doesnt say IF you have tribulation; it says you WILL have it. but guess what? we know the end. HE has overcome the world. we can be of good cheer. we can have peace. this week, im clinging to this very thing! and im a little excited about it too. #cancerschmancer #oneyearbible
