thursday 10th july turtle has just come to my attention Oceans = ebb and flow Honu (turtle) for hawaiians symbolizes the navigator that is able to find its way home time and time again = Honu is an Aumakua, a guardian spirit ... profoundly symbolic in many ways ... one of the gifts the turtle brought to hawaiians was fresh spring water, with out which the polynesians could not have settled this newest of lands
