...to treat something as self-evidently paranormal is to curtail curiosity and the willingness to learn... such treatment strips us, our minds, our world and our universe of their staggering complexity and richness. Derren Brown, man-beast-imp love of my life... that is to say he is charming! On any day a wild pack of implausible fears and scenarios do the grim fandango in my head. This isnt extraordinary, everyone goes there at some point, but it is unavoidably a misuse of time. I really struggle rejecting conspiratorial belief systems. Nevertheless if it cannot be disproved by evidence isnt it then a futile pursuit, shouldnt i invest energy where it benefits somebody somewhere? Social media seems to be an everlasting fountain of confirmation bias, i wonder if it empowers the worst bits of my imagination, and then realise its just my own imagination which is lacking. At any rate I am learning how to get better :) xo
