today has been quite an adventure! Heidi got bit by a cat today that did not have a rabies vacination. After visiting several hospitals we finally found a clinic that treated Heidi Campbell. Apparently rabies is quite common in the Philippines and someone dies from it every 30 minutes here. One lady who works at AIIAS lost her father to rabies two weeks ago. So we were grateful when we eventually were able to get Heidi some antibiotics and get her started on a rabies shot regimen.
