today i learned that the City of Atlanta requires Live Nation to provide a copy of its special events permits ONLY to a select group of 10 city officials. its one thing for the city to let Live Nation do whatever they want, its another thing to obscure the permitting process. how come i have to publicly display my permit if im installing a backsplash in my kitchen, but Live Nation doesnt have to publicly display a permit if theyre closing half a park and two miles of bike lanes, sidewalks, and pedestrian paths for several days?
