today the laguindigan international airport in misamis oriental will start its operation. the old lumbia airport will be used as an air force base. the history of this old airport has the same features as our own surigao airport. and what is more intriguing is that this old surigao airport may also not be used anymore that is if one of the several options will be exercised. here is a bit of history of that old lumbia airport in cagayan de oro. take note of its similarities with our own surigao airport.
