#truth I am the first to admit when I am wrong, or when I have contributed to something that was wrong. Today, I was totally wrecked and convicted at the same time by the Holy Spirit. This has been on my heart to do for some time, but my flesh and my ego would not allow me too. Anytime you serve the TRUE and LIVING God there must be evidence of change within you. If you are sitting under the word of God Sunday after Sunday after Sunday after Sunday after Sunday (ok, you get the picture), and you are still involved in the same lifestyle (monkey foolishness), YOU HAVE NOT HAD AN ENCOUNTER WITH JESUS! A couple of weeks ago, right before homecoming, I posted a series of status updates meant for fun. However, one of the updates hurt some people, not just any people, but my sisters. Even though the update was not meant for that purpose, it totally went left. After speaking with some of the parties involved, I realized that something meant for fun turned into fuel for hate! I cant have that on my watch. I cant stand before the people of God, ministering into their souls, knowing that I am a part of something thats not for good! If I contribute to publicly humiliating someone, then I need to be woman and Christian enough to publicly apologize. Today, I was convicted because of the word that went forth. We must take the path with people that Jesus takes with us. Its funny, because as many mistakes that Ive made, Jesus is still patient with me. He shows me unconditional love by being humble, patient, and gentle. If I cannot do the same for others, then I need to reevaluate Who I serve. I have committed my life to a life of peace and salvation, which means decisions I make will ultimately affect the people around me. Let us all take up our cross and remember to be patient with one another. My lifelong theme is, everything I do points back to the cross. REPEAT THIS, EVERYTHING YOU DO POINTS BACK TO THE CROSS.....THE GOD YOU SERVE. (remember that the next time you are cursing someone out!!!) The journey is the same, our names are just different. Lets do everything in the name of Love! Let no foul or polluting language, nor evil word nor unwholesome or worthless talk (ever) come out of your mouth but only such speech as is GOOD and BENEFICIAL to the spiritual progress of others, as is fitting to the need and the occasion, that it may be a blessing and give grace (Gods favor to those who hear it)....... Let all bitters and indignation and wrath, and resentment, and quarreling, and slander be banished from you, with all malice of any kind. And become USEFUL and HELPFUL and KIND to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, READILY AND FREELY, AS GOD IN CHIRST FORGAVE YOU. Ephesians 4:29-32 We can all learn from this today. Learning to continue to live IN CHRIST!
