Incidents of suicide due to examination stress and failure have dropped significantly in the year 2013, which is the lowest in the period of last 10 years. After Mamata Banerjee had came to power in May2013, she promised reforms in Education system in West Bengal which had been ignored since long. Separate committees have been set up for Primary, Secondary and Higher education and they have been continuously investigating the issues and working on improvement of system. The continuous efforts seem to show up in the data and this trend should follow in coming years.
