The creation process begins by gathering images, colors, and textures that attract our attention and inspire us. The guideline for gathering these elements is hard to describe as it is highly instinctive, but it is closely connected to everything that occurs and surrounds us in daily life. With every collection, ultimately there is a very clear and strong concept that is persistent and consistent throughout the atmosphere of the collection and the garments, but in the beginning we are unsure where the journey of creation will take us. During the creation process, the elements we have collected occupy our minds so much that we think about them 24/7, even when we are sleeping. Slowly but surely, these elements start to come together as a whole and form a story of its own. Once the story starts to unfold we naturally imagine who the protagonist is, what his/her values and aesthetics are, and what he/she would wear. Practically we give life to an anonymous person. Despite the setting of the story being decided, the story will always evolve and terminate in an unpredictable and unexpected place. It is the moment that we put the garments on a human being, styling them together as one whole outfit, and in turn one coherent collection that the story “makes sense” and is completed.
