via Carlos Dickson-Martin Today, my sister Carrie Lynn Martin will be coming back to ASU not as a student but as a candidate for president of the largest Native American Tribe, the Diné (Navajo). She ran only for the well-being of her people. She was raised with a good heart and in conditions many people have yet to experience. She overcame many trials in her life and know what humility means. She brings with her education, determination, hopefulness, honesty, humility and love for our people. Virtues that our people need in this dark times of no government support ! She is todays expression of progressive change and a guiding light for our youth to gain knowledge of becoming future leaders of the Diné. I will be voting for my sister for because I know she can do more than previous leaders. I believe in her and her ability to be business oriented. She is the in between of both the young and old. She has the power to change the hearts and minds of our people. If I could get my absentee ballot so my wife and I can vote for her. I encourage all you city Navajos to vote for her and to persuade your grandparents and families back at home to vote for her. We need a progress transition from past to modern thinking. She can do that without demanding change but working with other for this transition. CARRIE can be that transitional leader! That is why my wife and I will be voting for Carrie. VOTE CARRIE LYNN MARTIN.
