via Jeff Sullivan: Why Did the Milky Way Cross the Road? No, it wasnt following a chicken. The Milky Way moves from southeast to southwest over the course of the summer, so as you shoot in the same location over that time period, your compositions and foreground subjects change from week to week. The dark new moon week only occurs for about a week per month, but that week shifts from year to year, so it can take a lot of visits and time to experience every combination of Milky Way position and foreground. Our next workshop on October 4 will be my 15th night in Bodie, but were still managing to find a lot of new compositions and to further develop old ones. jeffsullivanphotography/blog/bodie-night-photography-workshops/ +Bodie Photo Workshops #nightphotography #astrophotography #photographyworkshop
