via Sandy Bruce MORE about CHANUKAH ( DEDICATION ) ADDING to Torah is making something equal to a commandment of Torah and requiring others to do it. SUBTRACTING from Torah is taking something out of Torah and requiring others to NOT obey it. Yeshua was NOT against ALL customs. In fact, He did many of them Himself. It is ONLY customs that ADD to or SUBTRACT FROM, or are SUBSTITUTES for something in Torah that He was against. CHANUKAH ( DEDICATION ) is about the victory which ELohim provided through a few faithful Hebrew Levite Priests, willing to fight against the spread of pagan greek culture and laws on the Redeemed People of IsraEL. If it were not for Chanukah, there would not have been an IsraEL and would not have been a people for Messiah to be born into. Those that dont want to COMMEMORATE what ELohim did through CHANUKAH ( DEDICATION ) are free to NOT do so. I do not make it a requirement on others. I however, choose to COMMEMORATE an event that ELohim provided and supported and foretold by Mosheh and the Prophets *** AND *** that Yeshua Himself WILL DO when He returns to SET UP His Kingdom on earth -- HE will CLEANSE the DEFILED ( 3rd ) Temple and Re-DEDICATE it. And it WILL BE at the time of CHANUKAH ( DEDICATION ) that THIS DEDICATION will take place.
