vimeo/41021992 Abundant Love Adoption & Foster Care Group will meet on Monday, December 8th at Sandals Main Campus from 7-830 pm. Special Guest Speaker: Erin Whitt, Safe Families for Children. Child care will be provided. Safe Families for Children expands the community safety net by providing parents in need with mentoring relationships and tangible support in times of crisis. Safe Families for Children believes children will be safe and well-cared for if families in crisis have a network of support. Volunteer families, prompted, solely by compassion, build relationships with at-risk families and can open their homes to children. This allows parents to have the time and space to work out their problems without having to worry about losing parental custody. Prevention is one of the most important things in our society. It is also one of the hardest things to measure. We will never know exactly what we prevented by being a part of Safe Families- continued cycle of homelessness, child abuse, the need for foster care etc- but we know that by showing up and showing God’s love to isolated families we are making a lasting impact in our community’s futures.
