Chris Marina Church Yesterday at 1:41pm Hello neighbors of Lehigh Acres. wanted to share a story and ask for on somebodys behalf. I live on Joel Blvd. and when I drive someplace I see almost each day a man walking with a boy on s wheel chair. And I see this man sometimes even in Walmart area, which is kind of far away from Joel. So anyway, I met these 2 guys at Jacks Market and just talked to them. The man named Michael told me about himself and his son Gregory, that they dont have a car for about 7 months. So he walks to get food. He get SSI and food stamps for his son on wheel chair. But Michael can not work, he is with his disabled son 24/7. they pay rent with SSI money ... so they dont really have much money left. I got his phone number, and going to contact Social Services so they can give them a transportation ride at least to get food. I am wondering if somebody else know this people. and ask if anybody want to help them as much as I do, please write me. They live close to Fire Station. I offered to drive food for them sometime. It will have to an older vehicle or van if the father collects on his own, if he only collects on his sons behalf then thats not a concern. The father is licensed and had vehicle before it died 7 months ago.
