was in Bengaluru attending KERC,KPTCL N Estimates Committee meeting from 19th to 22nd.. on Sunday I spent d whole day with nearly 300 kids who r orphans, destitute, ran away from home n became street children n some r drug addicted too.. they were rescued recently by Donbosco n were in different centers of Donbosco across d Bengaluru.. I visited all of them n motivated d children with my own story of struggle from a Telugu medium distance education student to become an IAS .. n asked them to set a target n dedicate their life for that.. they called me Mam twice n next time unconsciously called AKKA(sister) n looked into my face for my reaction.. I smiled n opened my arms n they all rushed to hug me n never called me mam again…..:-) n at every center when m about to leave they all promised me that they will become entrepreneurs n other professionals as per their taste by doing hard work ….:-) this Sunday’s experience only made me to feel what Mother Theresa used to say always “more people suffer from lack of affection than lack of food in this world”… but they all are cute n lovely kids who deserve d love of every body….. God bls them…..:-)
