we had a BLAST at the Josephine County Fairgrounds yesterday! the fun started while we were waiting in line to get in! Lori and i watched the dirt bikes perform jumps and flips, which she thought was REALLY cool, while Adam held our place in the entrance line. Adam carried Tam around in the Baby KTan all afternoon and bought all-ride bracelets for me and Lori. i am telling you, THIS is one of the things ive been waiting for as a mommy! Adam gets motion sickness fairly easily, so since weve been together (over 12 years now) i havent really gone on many amusement rides. we usually just walk around, eat some fair-food, see the attractions, and play some games for prizes. BUT! Now that Loris 4 years old and tall enough to ride some of the bigger rides, MOMMY GETS TO GO ON RIDES AGAIN!!! in fact, thats ALL we did! Adam carried Tam around while Lori and i ran amok for 3 hours on nothing but RIDES RIDES RIDES!!! we didnt play a single game (theyre too expensive and hard to win, and the prizes are cheaply-made), so we bought Lori a nice Ty-brand (like Beanie Babies, but this was the bigger Beanie Buddies kind) kitty cat toy, which we didnt find out until the ride home that its name (according to the tag) is ZIP! what a PUUUURRRRR-FECT name!! ;) altogether, Lori got to go on about 13 or 14 rides (including both fun-houses and the bouncy Lightning McQueen slide) and i got to ride about 9 or 10. SOOOOOO much fun that ive been waiting SOOOOO long for, and now i cant wait until next year for even MORE rides (she couldnt ride the Tilt-A-Whirl or Scrambler yet, 2 of my favorites!!)!!! then, we were all so worn out, that when we got home we all passed the F&^K out until 9 am this morning, which is kinda sleeping-in for us now, LOL! YAAAAAAAAAYYYYY for kids still being kids, but old enough to ride the big rides! hehehehe
