we have invited all our locally elected councillors to attend our community & family protest. We have also asked them for a statement on their stance in relation to irish water and the privatisation of our water. Water that we already contribute over 1 billion euro to from our hard earned wages. Galway Cllr Mike Cubbard is setting an excellent example in Galway city. We have attended meetings where he has stated on the record that he will stand shoulder to shoulder with his constituents on this issue. Cllr Cubbard has also tried to put forward a motion calling for a debate on the abolishment of irish water. It was obvious at our meeting that this is the type of leadership the community of Tuam are seeking ... and the type of leadership the community needs. All our locally elected Councillors have a duty to fight for their constituents. . It is us as a community who impowered them to do so. It is up to us the people to rise, to be seen & to be heard. Show the people who speak on our behalf that we cannot take anymore. Let them know that these are the questions that will determine who will fight for us in the years to come. Walk with us on Nov 1st and be counted.??
