well, am about to embark on a painting experiment...I have painted my 110 FFR in Black Magic Paint from Flag Paints (flagpaints.co.uk/) - its a funky paint that has a silk matt appearance - and its also a rust thingy mi bob and goes over plastic, metal and glass - I have painted everything - even the back of the mirrors - no prep as such (just wiped it) - and it looks amazing - painted with a paint brush - its kinda self levelling so looks cool. This was just a quick fix in case the weather went crap as the paint on it was knackered - and it only took about 250ml of paint for the entire 110 and an 1hr - I was taking my time. I am now going to go over the entire vehicle again, but this time, I shall be using some wet/dry paper to prep the surface so its smooth using the paint thats already on there as a marker / flatting / primer type thingy. Will post pics as soon as I am able. Oh, and the paint is about £11 for 500ml - £20 for 1 litre. Now thats a very inexpensive matt black (silk ish) paint job. GET IN!!!! They only do black at the moment, but are developing other colours. Plus - its water based and drys in about 20 mins and can be overpainted too....just in case you want to change the colour when you have a few quid. Me....am sticking with this colour.
