went out this evening and schooled Rio through Distance Grid work again. Instead of using a plain bar jump we worked the panel jump, tire and broad jump with good success. I also was moving more then half the time. there were no dropped bars and nice quiet work from Rio with landing and take off. my biggest wow moment tonight was when I changed to the broad jump instead of pushing for height I noticed his body was gauging for distance to cover the jump. He did not concern himself with a bunch of height. By Jove I think he is getting it! He is one spectacular and smart boy. Yup we have been fine tuning agility so have not been working utility obedience at all. Tomorrow we will run these drills with both the triple and double jump and from there move to the next grid for work.
