what if vampires represent our idea of a predator in myth... and zombies represent our fear of disease and how it spreads and kills... and aliens our fear of being taken or invaded by something we dont understand.... ghosts our fear of death.... demons, our fear of pain in the unknown. angels... the need in the psyche for a hidden shield from danger and anxiety.... gods... the need for control... in a reality no one is prepared to experience... the need to feel like everything will turn out alright... the sneaking suspicion that everything is going to come to an end.. even though it never does... all of these things really dont seem to be real... because all beings are ignorant of reality until they experience it... but what little they experience seems to be but nothing no matter the relative term for a long time.... our lives are but a hydrogen atom in an ocean..... yet we can still show we know things... and the more we know about the history of what people claim to know but cant show.. the ancient myths.. the more hilarious every single one of them has become... it wouldnt be surprising to me to see satires of biblical stories feature prominently until no one takes it seriously ever again.... just like every other religion ... even the young and old ones we have now.. all of them still killing each other over land.. and religion, and claims that no one can really make.. born.... told to kill... killed.... or killed so many, that naught but monsters are made from humanity..... i just hope to shoot into the stars.. whatever form my consciousness will take on this journey, whether i cross thresholds and shed flesh and become machine.. or die and waste away into elements of the future scenery...... I will experience it god free...hate free..... fear free... worry free...... thinking freely.
