whats on my mind today ? well a book written in 1924 by Emmet Fox -"make your life worth while" here is a sampling Salvation--the word salvation appears more then 120 times in the bible, it was in constant use among religious people of past generations,and while it is not often heard these days , the fact remains that it is one of the most interesting words in the bible,and as so often happens it is one of the least understood. The word salvation in the biblical context means perfect health,harmony, and happiness, joy and freedom. When you have a strong healthy body so that just being alive is a joy in itself, When you are living in conditions that are completely harmonious, When your time is filled with joyous and useful activities, When you are not conscious of any fear! You have salvation in the biblical sense, These things are the will of god in thought , and letting god work through us by refusing to give power to outer things or conditions , by training our selves to despise fear. Salvation comes to a few people gently and easily , but the majority of us have to work out our salvation with a certian amount of fear and trembling , for the time being . The actual way in which it comes is not really important , for come it will, When we seek the truth with our whole heart. It is always an excellent idea to look up the word salvation emmet fox, 1924, "make your life worth while" page 64. post scriptorim : i posted this in honor of my friend SOCKO, who is in chester county jail , for his birth day last week 46, the food is so bad there it is un-eatable, so i send him money to buy eatable food in the commasary. he has started 2 naq meeting there 50 inmates at each one , and has finally gained the wardens confidence to allow na hand i meeting into the ficility starting this month, he has mentored ove 2 dozen inmates who have sisnce left the prison and are attending NA metting regulary now on the out side, ( i call socko, my little saint paul) converting all those guys to the light of recovery, it is a miricle that one good clean na member on the inside of prison walls is having such a dynamic effect on the younger inmates, i write to him , along with a boat load of other addicts from the belmont homegroup, and some from trevose meeting , he is a blessing to those around him in the walls of that horrable prison, so keep him in your prayers. (if you wish to write or help email me ) and letters or donations to him through one of the guys he helped get clean and join na when he was givin his freedom Josh, he took socko direction and is now is in the carpenter union and just bought a new home , is engaged and makes na meeting regulary and has a na home group, and all the while when socko got there 2 years plus ago , there was no NA, and mostly all the imates never even heard of na, things sure have changed in the chestercounty jail, now there are hundreds working the steps run there own meetings and this month the na fellowship service of H AND i will be allowed in to start some na presentation meetings, thank the anonymous diety. happy birthday socko, i love ya little brother, keep up the good work. just be carful, for where ever there is a strong effort put forth by the spirit of truth , there is always a double effort put forth by the diobolic(the dia- biline) - the one who tears things apart (dia biline) the oppisite od symboline which put things together ergo the word symbol , dia mean 2 which is the oppisite of one, dia is the seperation or tearing apart of the one , the invisible spirit of truth the anonymous diety is the higher power of NA in the second tradition. just as the word disease, broken dawn , dis means 2 , and 2 is the symbol of the dio bolic, the seperator, the breaker of unity, the breaker od gasthalt, the dis-ease is seperation from the truth , from the one =unity, unity means one, anonymity mean one, in tradition 2 we set aside our differences as a group and become one , anonymity mean setting aside our differences and becoming equale , any i met socko 4 or 5 years ago as he had just got out of prison for thr 4 thime in his life, it was thanks giving day, at his familiys house that day they followed him from room to room not trusting him as far as they could spit, , when he realised this , he burned inside, just want to burst, for he was 30 day clean in na , i had taken him to a meeting every day and night, but he was boiling, so when i pick ed him up i stopped at the wawa and purposley left the keys in the new truck and my wallet on the dash, i asked him what he wanted and went in and got 2 coffees 20 ouncers, and cakes, ( i was trusting him) in my truck, when i came out he was in tears, and was experencing real acceptance and love, , he said that my trusting him was the 1st time someone had trusted him in over 20 years. we have been as close as brothers since, i just asked him to carry that message through action to others. no matter the cost. he trusted me , i explained that in order to trust others one had to be totley honest, and that by being (practicing) honesty we are given the gift of trust, or the ability to trust without fear. he learned fast once he got honest and began to trust, he began to see results in many areas of recovery that we were working on and didcussing. with study of sayings like , DONT GIVE ADVICE UNLESS ASKED, PEOPLE WHO SPOKE BAD ABOUT ANOTHER PERSON WERE SPEAKING ABOUT THEM SELVES, THAT THE HOME GROUP WAS THE FAMILY PRINCIPLE, AND ALSO THE HEALING PRINCIPLE, THAT WE GET OUT SANITY PARTICPATING INTHE HOME GROUPS 2ND TRADITION , THAT WE GAIN SELF ACCEPATANCE BY ACCEPTING OTHERS -RECIPORCITY IN ACTION , GOT TO GIVE IT TI GET IT. ALL SPIRITUAL PRINCIPLES ARE ONLY REAL IN THERE GIVING, THEY CAN ONLY BE GIVEN, AND THE MORE WE SURRENDER AND GIVE THE MORE WE GET, SOCKO LEARNED all this , mostly all greg p, stuff handed down the past 25 years, from sponsor to sposor. young brad has learned this too, amongst a few others, just as brain surgens learn how to do a brain surgery by 1- READING THE BRAIN SURGERY, 2- WATCHING THE BRAIN SURGERY, 3- DOING THE BRAIN SURGERY - BUT IT THE LAST THING THAT ALLOWS HEM TO REMEMBER IT FOREVER 4- IT IS BY TEACHING THE BRAIN SURGERY THAT ALLOWS THEM TO REMBER FOREVER.( THE PRINCIPLE THAT YOU GOT TO GIVE IT TO GET IT , IN ACTION) IT IS ONLY IN TEACHING IT THAT THEY GET IT FOREVER.
