when people tell me my post are too long, I question a lot of things real swiftly. In my mind, the first thing Im thinking is, no youre attention-span is too short...and I instantly think about genetically modified foods and all the chemicals used to induce low attention spans in the mass of people. Then, I think about how, if a person finds it straining or over-bearing to scan their eyes across words, I must be real phenomenal to be patient enough to actually type the ish. Then, I think about the connotation of the word long...too long for what? Its too long in what regard? What is actually happening in the human mind as they read a post that brings a discomfort? Are they trapped and obligated to finish once they begin reading and are upset that their attention was held hostage for that 30 seconds it takes to read two lengthy paragraphs? Then, I think about that person and imagine what they would have likely spent that 30 seconds doing in comparison to what it was I compacted in the post. I mean, the conversation about my post being too long usually last longer than it takes to read the post...whats the science behind that? I guess they beat around the bush telling me that they think I think I know too much like this post is beating around the bush in telling them I think they are slow. Lol...
