while national statistics say that there are almost 5,000 J walking fatalities in the US, i can definitely respect that police are cracking down on j walking, yesterday i was stopped again by u know who for j walking but i was walking in the cross walk but the Hackensack police Sargent said i was still j walking even though i was in the cross walk. he stated that i was walking against the light, i replied what light? you be the judge!! i have pics. in my opinion there is no light and to see the light i would have to j walk and walk in the street on Hudson to see if the light was in my favor to walk. There is no pedestrian hand signals and the focus here is not the officer because j walking is a Hugh problem BUT!! you cant see the light unless you walk accrossed the street then run back to the cross walk to see if you can get accrossed in time to make the light! you be the judge! was i J walking? should there be a hand signal at that confusing cross walk? where there is no hand signal and you can not see the light when do you cross? what do you think? i would love to have your feedback!!
