who is 2 b blamed this time FG or ASUU? As the federal govt. condemned Asuu demand of paying lecturer 4 months salary arrears, full and immediate implementation of the FGs offer which they honored and accepted. What is so condemnable in these Asuus condition?Is it the implementation which the FG promised with immediate effect starting this year or paying the four month salary arreas which the lecturers deserve? In whatever sense, the real victims are the Students and the state of Nigerian education which has been diminishing. On behalf of the Students I plead with the Government to consider these conditions set by Asuu leadership as it has on the other hand accepted and honored the Presidents offer. Failure to resolve conflicts by the most highest personalities; Mr President & his cabinet: VP, Governors, Senate, Reps, Finance minister, Education minister, National University Commission Chiefs, Emirs etc AND the body of intellectuals(ASUU) entails acute deterioration of the educational standard of the country Nigeria today and if necessary steps are not taken the worse is yet to happen in the future. The youth who are to follow the exemplary footsteps of the elders were confused as to which areas should they emulate their elders who for almost five months could not resolve the strike which not only affect the Educational standard of the country but the economic, political as well as the social aspects of the society have been affected recklessly beyond comments. What are we to emulate while we we being denied access to good and quality education for no reason. our hostels, laboratories, lecture rooms are insufficient and inconducive, except in some few institutions like GSU among others. It is worth understanding that whenever a teachers right is tempered with, it is the students who feel the consequences. For the sake of the good people of Nigeria, future generation and innocent students let the government pay the lecturers their salary arrests and implement the agreement reached recently I know Gombe State Government did not stop the lecturers salary throughout this period.
