with Chrissy Phillips and Leigh Eddison This is Nica. She came to live with us on 4th July 2011 and she is now approx 6Years old. She is a Romanian survivor from the shelters. Due to me being diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2014 and now having to have Chemotherapy, radiotherapy etc I am no longer in a position to care for her as she deserves to be cared for. As you can see, she is a beautiful girl, she gets on well with other dogs of all shapes and sizes although like other Rommie survivors she does have a few quirks. Good points - she is loving and affectionate but she has to make sure that you are trustworthy first so starts off wary, good fun, enjoys her walks and meeting other dogs, very playful, she is clean in the house, obedient, wants to please all the time. I dont feel that she has any bad points but if I had to choose some they would be, barking, she barks if anyone comes into the house. This is due to her nervousness and as soon as you sit down she will start to come to check you out. If you meet approval she will ask for attention. She has been known to eat the post, but the solution is to get a box put on the back of the door. As already mentioned she is nervous, especially of men and she will sometimes, rarely, lunge towards them barking. This only happens inside the house, never outside. She has never bitten anyone, although when we first got her she occasionally nipped (men) on their ankles, this has stopped but you should always be aware. She likes children but finds them a bit overwhelming and will tend to stay away from them , she has never nipped a child. In an ideal world, she would thrive in a home that is calm, without young children but would be happy to share it with another dog (dogs). She is microchipped, spayed and fully up to date on her inoculations and has a passport. She is very healthy and has only visited the vet twice (not for jabs) since we have had her, once for a grass seed in her paw and once for a bee sting on her face. I love her very much and it is breaking my heart to part with her but I honestly will not be able to give her the attention, exercise etc that she needs. I feel she would continue to thrive in a home that has experience with Romanian dogs and all of their peculiar little ways.
