writing and reviewing a lot of papers these days, it came to my attention that researchers are divided about their opinions on active vs passive voice. i am a supporter of the former, both for writing and reading, i find active voice much more dynamic and exciting.. but sometimes forced to change to passive by editors/reviewers.. and all of these seem to differ from journal to journal, APA style seems to favor active voice, while JASA does not allow personal pronouns... what are your thoughts? biomedicaleditor/active-voice.html
