xtremedivers/ I believe that inevitably there are moments in our lives when we are tested to a seemingly unbearable degree of difficulty. How we respond, adapt, refocus, and educate ourselves during those trying times is a window to our soul and will forever define our character moving forward in life. The choices, in essence are quite simple. We may decide to cave-in under a seemingly gross burden and be crushed by its apparent enormity, only to slowly and agonizingly asphyxiate our souls. We can continue to fight bravely and fiercely as the Spartans at Thermopylae. Most likely, with the same noble and tragic results. Battles against the universe are never won because they are invariably battles against ourselves. Finally, and what I propose as the only viable alternative, is that we can choose to accept that moment as a gift, ever grateful for its teaching opportunity. Then we must release it to a higher power, letting it go as gracefully as we are able. In that moment of letting go, you must believe in your strength, in your courage, and in the value of the forging of the fire. And to do so, it sometimes requires a literal leap of faith.
